I think this is a great post highlighting both careers. Hard to see how anyone could argue Hasay's career has been better, as this highlights, which is probably why those that are so adamant on arguing that point are trying to look at LESS data (marathon PR) vs. the entire body of information. It's a lazy and uninformed approach.

Not that it matters. Just hoping Hasay gets healthy soon because she should have a lot of good results still to come.

Is it possible for people to accept others for who they are? Kara crying during a post-race interview isn't news. It's the norm. So what? I've seen tears of joy in the eyes of Super Bowl winners and tears or sorrow in their opponents. They don't always show in post-game interviews but do we really have to fault someone for showing emotion?

Nope, you're just ignorant enough to not realize who is the better runner. Jordan could not possibly have run all of the races that Kara has, they are 13 years apart!

Based on Jordan being a 3 time FL Champion and having a much faster marathon than Kara's, by around 5 minutes, just about 3 seconds faster every quarter mile. Hasay is a better runner and time will prove what the demented can't grasp.

Her 10,000 in Japan was with a weaker than average field, that's a fact. Only the KaraFanBoys would disagree with that.

Shalane is lightyears ahead of Kara, which is why Kara had to tweet about one race in NYC to get in a stealth brag when there's truly nothing to brag about. Her marathon best is over 4 and 1/2 minutes ahead of Kara's. But Kara wants to brag about one race...see the irony?

SF, AH, JB & JH are way more accomplished. Kara had a decent career, but nothing spectacular. If she couldn't get the results she wanted, she cried like a baby---for herself. It's call a pity party, grow up.

I realize everyone can do math but we don’t always take time to put things into perspective. 5 minutes in a marathon is over 30 seconds for 5k and over 1 minute for 10k.

1) That's a simpleton's approach to focus on marathon PRs as the sole measuring stick. Is Leul Gebrselassie a better runner than Samuel Wanjiru? Was Ryan Hall a better runner than Meb? They each ran faster.

2) Hasay has a marathon PR 3:55 faster than Goucher. 3 seconds every quarter mile is 5:15.

You are incapable of ranking anything, or making a cogent argument.

Kara's pr is 2:25:53. Jordan's is 2:20:57. That is just under 5 minutes, or about 12 seconds per mile. Obviously you failed basic math and are incapable of getting out of your Mom's basement or wanking your small p. The math should be easy but you're a hobby jogger.

The poster also compared their half marathon times as well as Hasay's high school career which shows what she'll do.
