Geneseo will be going home DEVASTATED after losing to Cortland this weekend. Unfortunately, not before they cover the houghton track in precum while doing their dumb chants.

little late to the the party, but zakk hess isn't racing this weekend in the 3k?? he's been running damn well all season, had him as my favorite to take the individual title. Also, while im stating my predictions, Tom Haskins from Oneonta has had solid performances in the mile. he could put a good fight and make the race interesting. 5k will probably be a pretty easy race to figure out what will happen, cortland Hopkins gets the dub, the rest is up in the air. few hours till day one kicks off, who ya got?
Pat Fannon for the triple crown.
Heard Nick Marcantonio will be swimming down the Genesee, winning the 3k, then biking home

Are you the type of person who looks at a statistic without looking at any of the data behind it? Acceptance rate =/= difficulty to get in to.
Average GPA and SAT/ACT scores for acceptance to Geneseo are tied for highest in the SUNY's along with Stony Brook and Binghamton. As for the SUNY schools in the SUNYAC, Geneseo has by far the highest requirements for entry. If you'd like links to where I'm getting this information from, I'll gladly send you to various websites, but as someone who looks down on Geneseo, I'm sure you're capable of doing your own independent research.

You Cortland kids should talk less trash and get better at track. Having a fun team dynamic helps, you should try it some time :)
If you don’t wear your medal around your neck after the meet at Wegmans, you ain’t real
Pretty funny how much worse SUNYAC is than Liberty Leagues now for distance...

LL has more desirable schools with better coaches across multiple schools. Geneseo has good things going but that’s about it for the yac.
What happened to the Fredonia track program? They were pretty good a few years ago and this weekend they scored 0 individual points on the track for the 3rd time in the last 4 SUNYAC championships. Embarrassing
I would argue that both the SUNYAC and Liberty League are in the top 5 for best conferences in the D3 right now
In no specific order the best conferences are easily: WIAC, MIAC, Liberty League, SUNYAC, NESCAC, UAA.
Also Ithaca womens team scoring 241.5 points?? WTF
Centennial is much better than SUNYAC. SUNYAC doesn’t belong in the conversation for top 5 right now.
Between the SUNYAC, Empire 8, and Liberty League, the avg. margin of victory for men was 21.5 points. For women, it was 81.05. Why is the women's side of track so much more lop sided than the men?
Maybe the men's side is more competitive than the women's side in terms of all three of the conferences.

Enjoy it while it lasts because Brockport will win outdoor because of the extra throwing events.

I'd just argue that right now Geneseo is the best comprehensive track program in the SUNYAC. They have the best academics, most coaches, and big alumni support. Frankly they shouldn't lose ever. After that, the middle tier programs have a niche. Onenonta distance, Brockport throws, Cortland multis/ sprints, hurdles, etc.
The SUNYAC also has a lot of trash programs.
Hence why Geneseo scored 5 guys in long,
Brockport went 1,2,3,4,6 in shot.
The mile went Oneonta, 1,2,7, Geneseo 3,5,6, Cortland 4, 8.
Or the 5k went Oneonta 1,7, Geneseo 2,3,4,5,6,8.
The middle/bottom tier schools in the SUNYAC are a dumpster fire.

That's the best part about the Liberty League right now (at least in indoor). There aren't enough teams for a middle/bottom tier. There's only teams that can field competitive athletes, and Union.
Until the Liberty League adds Bard and Vassar for outdoors
Anyone(distance) in our region besides Grant/Mcaneny qualified for nattys as of now?
Vassar is at least better than Union and Bard, their distance was decent the last couple years. For conferences just looking at 3k results, Liberty League 8th place was 8:40, MIAC was 8:45, UAA was 8:35, NESCAC was 8:43, WIAC was 8:40 so these are all pretty similar to each other in quality just looking at depth of this race. SUNYAC was 8:46 but second place was 8:41 which wouldn't have scored in many of these other conferences so it's debatable
Sean is not even qualified technically right now, sitting 16th for the 3k right now. It's just Grant...
