I'm happy to have a job, sure.
But: We get 5 days off per year. This calendar year, my employer decided to be closed the following non-holiday days - July 5, Nov. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 26, and Dec. 31.
"If you do not have remaining vacation days, you can choose not to be paid for that day." Choose what, again?
So now we have the option of working Saturdays, starting in the middle of the night, and basically painting the building (this is not what we do, in general), in order to "bank" time and cover the "days we're taking off."
Thoughts?
