Yea I was thinking about tough peaking workouts that assess your race readiness.
Rather than early season preparatory sessions.
I was surprised people thought 6x1 mile at 10k was never done.

People don’t seem to do much more than 10x1 mile at 10 k pace as that’s insane. No matter how much rest you get.
Let's say you want to run 12x1 mile @ 10K pace for a workout. You have just run the equivalent of 2 10K races in one day. That is a huge stress load you are putting on your body. Could it be done? Yes. Is it wise to do so? Probably not.
I have run 10x100m @ 400m race pace but that is a different story.
