Right now, 1k.
In my prime, 4k.

In my prime, 4k.
At my peak as a middle distance runner, probably 2 miles.
Now, maybe 2k, even though I'm a much better marathoner now. Do I get to do some fast 400s for a couple weeks to sharpen up?
In high school, 1.5 miles, maybe 7 laps at most.
Now, at 58, maybe 600m.
I’d make it to about 1200 meters
Not much of a long-distance runner lol...I could definitely make it 2k, maybe 3k on a great day but idk about 2 miles.
During the warm-up.
50 ft
LOL, "most people" can run a 4:38 mile ?

I’m a fit guy. Run 5k in 20 minuets, not ashamed to say that I can’t run 400m in that pace. 300m I can.
I run 5 k in 22:30, but 66 in 400 meters, so, you have more endurance than me I guess, and I have more speed, but guess who can runfast and kipchgoing for a long time fast? :-)
About 80 yards . And I would be bent over begging for air .

Sorry, of course that's wrong!
I meant most runners, having in mind males who are suited for middle or long distance running and do some structured training. I would have thought of those are training properly a lot of high school boys could run a 4:38 mile and almost all college runners should be able to manage it. A lot of decent runners after college (say in the 16 5k, 33 10k range) ought to be close to 4:38 mile.
If I said between half a mile and three miles, that would cover even many in high school who train but aren't particularly suited to running, or those who could be good, but don't train.
I would be happy to make it a half mile.
In a few months, I hope to make it a mile.
Anything beyond that before time catches up with me would be great.

+1
Back in the day, a little less than a mile. Now, you would measure it in angstroms. Or nanometers.

And that's with Kipchoge giving me a 79 yard head start .
In my prime, I would of held on for 35k. That is not a misprint.
If I went head-to-head with a clean Kipchoge... it'd be 50/50 for the win.

Learn English , then bs us .
His pace was 69.2 sec per 400. I run on a very, very good day 68 seconds, so maybe 400m.
In my prime I could do a 4:33 mile and a 9:40 2 mile, so just a bit more than a mile when I was in that shape.
When I first got into distance running, it was a big deal if world-class athletes like Frank Shorter or Bill Rodgers ran a marathon at or just under 5 minutes per mile. As impressive as that was at the time, that at least seemed doable to me, meaning something that was in the realm of possibility, even for me if I kept training and training (It wasn't, but I tried). But 4:38 per mile for a marathon? That's something I can't even get my head around; it's like an extraterrestrial came down from outer space and won the Berlin Marathon.
At peak, 6K
Now, 600m
