Can someone explain to me how an athlete of her caliber came to be in Salazar's camp? She's barely more than a trials qualifier at best - not close to the level of the other athletes, so kind of weird for her to get lumped in with the actual NOP athletes.
I'm assuming that's what this suit is about, but maybe someone can shed light on that?
I would Also like to know how she came about to train under him. According to the interim document she was part of the experimentation.

Most of the pleadings are under seal, but from all appearances the “lawsuit” is really just a motion to enforce a subpoena and require Grunnagle to give a deposition for use in an arbitration proceeding. I can’t tell who the parties to the arbitration are, but presumably Grunnagle is not a party and resisted giving a deposition, so whoever wanted her testimony had to go to federal court and jump through some hoops to enforce the subpoena. Here’s the court’s order granting the motion and requiring her to testify last month:

Alberto's sons are not athletes either but didn't stop them from being lathered up with testosterone.

If she's willing to dope, and USADA documentation suggests that was the case, then she's the perfect athlete for Salazar.
So she has already been deposed.
This is a good sign that the USADA Salazar investigation continues and USADA is pursuing a legal path.
(BroJoes should retitle this thread as “USADA Gets Closer to NOP!”)

Can you give the highlights? I am getting a paywall.
Bump. Anyone got access that can summarize? Are all the old NOP athletes getting deposed, or is this an isolated case?

Read my prior post.
Got it thx
So Ritzenhein, Rupp and the others all sat down with USADA and gave testimony w/o a subpoena. I wonder why she was so reluctant.

Could be any number of reasons. Maybe she didn’t want to be bothered and hoped they would just leave her alone if she ignored the subpoena. Maybe she’s been a bad girl and didn’t want to go under oath. Maybe she was trying to find a lawyer and the prosecutors got anxious so they filed their motion. Maybe there was a document request with the subpoena that she objected to as being overbroad. There’s really no telling. I wouldn’t read much into it.

Let's examine who we are talking about.
https://www.athlinks.com/search/unclaimed?term=dawn%20grunnagle&category=unclaimedActually, reading between the lines of the court’s order it appears she wanted USADA to cover her travel expenses and attorney’s fees, and also wanted to see the documents she would be questioned about before the deposition (presumably so she could discuss the documents with her lawyers and prepare to answer questions about them). USADA apparently would not agree to those terms so they filed a motion to enforce the subpoena. Looks like Grunnagle agreed to appear on the terms she had requested. The court gave her travel expenses and exhibits in advance but no fees.

Dawn Grunnagle mentioned in this LR thread. From my analysis is somehow/somewhat related to Dr. Brown and L-Carnitine injections above 50ml (?).

Since anyone charged with violating the anti-doping rules by USADA can appeal to arbitrators, it it seems likely Gunnagle has is testifying in such an appeal. Any idea who has been charged with an anti-doping violation by USADA in Texas? Could it be that she has been charged?
The USADA procedure for investigating and charging people is described in detail here:
https://www.usada.org/testing/results/adjudication-process/My bad. I missed what mahmood pointed out, that USADA has already notified Dr. Brown that they are charging him with violating the doping rules. Since all of the attorneys are in Texas, it seems likely this is about his appeal, which would be heard by an arbitrator.
"If USADA wants me to come to them and answer questions then they should pay me for my travel and expenses" and the court said pay the lady's bus fare but nothing for her lawyer.
