I have done it twice. I followed a pacer in 56 and eventually got passed by the most of the field and ran 3:45. 56/156/2:58/3:45. I had run 1;49 earlier that week.
Another received the baton in an indoor DMR with a big lead...did the stupidest thing I could do....and blew up big time. 56/2:00/3:04/4:10. Had raced hard the night before and had tired legs
It's tough to hold on when you go out over your head.
We all remember this. Right?
Yes, of course. Your PB was probably 3:40 to 3:42 at the time, so going out in 42.x and 56.x was suicidal pace for you
Are you also 5feet3, bow legged with poor hip mobility like the Chinese women who apparently have the power to run 42.x in the first 300m of a 1500?
