That winning TD was bizarre.
The New Orleans defender reminded me of Pulp Fiction when the guy comes out of the bathroom, unloads his gun, and doesn't hit anyone.

Although there might be a 3-headed monster next season for the QB job I do not think you are a good Vikings fan for bringing it up now! The Vikings are on a roll.

Join the club of sports fans who have seen other teams get lucky breaks and go on to win super bowls.
Perhaps the most Mclucky team is the New England Patriots. They say if you have been caught breaking the law, it's not because that was your only time. The Pats have gotten away with cheating many times and even when they got caught all they got was a slap on the wrist.
As for supposedly lucky plays every team in the league has them. Face it, Stephon Diggs made a spectacular play to catch the ball, maintain his balance and then ramble 61 yards for the winning TD!
The Saints had many lucky plays in the game where a Viking may have made a stupid play. One was the interception thrown by Keenan. Another was the blocked punt against the Vikings. You don't think those were lucky plays?

It was no more bizarre than the Saints interception and blocked punt of the Vikings team.
HOWEVER the timing of the Vikings play was more clutch than anything that the Saints did.
Your guy didn't do his job on the Stephon Diggs play. That does not take anything away from what Diggs did!
It was a great game.
One thing Viking fans should have learned from this game is that they can think differently than the players. The players should be thinking one play at a time. But as fans we can dream big.
Didn't you feel great when the Vikings made their FG to supposedly win the game? Then when the Saints made their FG didn't you feel like crying? So all the emotions are going to be there whether you get your hopes up or not. SHOW YOUR HORNS!
THE VIKINGS WILL BE WORLD CHAMPIONS THIS SEASON!!!
Ok, Vikings fans, you just won your Super Bowl last night. The Eagles at the Linc are unstoppable. The D in the last 4 games have not given up more than 10 points. Case Keenum will look more like "Casey Kasem". There will be no horns on the loudspeakers this time. There will be no miracle with no time left, we don't have a rookie starting safety to bail you out & make a bonehead play. You don't come to South Philly thinking you can win.
The next time you play under a dome, is next season. Yes, you will indeed go back to Minnesota, DEVASTATED....
Ok comparing that play to an interception or blocked field goal is not the same-those things happen more regularly that I wouldn’t call them lucky. That play was beyond bizarre. He was right there to make the easiest tackle yet missed him completely and took his own teammate out, who then could also not stop Diggs. Strangest ending, but then again it was the Vikings who got knocked out last year after what should have been the easiest field goal. I guess you just can’t predict anything.
I don’t think the Eagles offense is good enough to beat the Vikings defense. This next game will be who has the better defense.
Your defense is great at home, not so much away. The Vikings defense allowed 19 points per game in away games compared to 12.5 at home. Your road game record is nothing special a whopping 9-7 in away games since the beginning of 2016. The Eagles are 14-3 at home since the beginning of 2016 (or really 14-2 if you count the starters resting the last game of the regular season). The "Rocky" theme will pump up the Eagles and will send you back home crying.

The playoff game lost by the Vikings was two years ago not last year. Last year the Vikings started out 5-0 and then finished out 3-5. They were on top of the world when they were 5-0 as I think they were the only undefeated NFL team at that point. You can learn from that.
I do not know if 856 and you are the same person or not. I do not know if both of you are Vikings fans or not. Perhaps you are trolls trying to agitate the Viking fan. Either way it's good to have you on this thread. I do think the Eagles have a better chance to beat the Vikings because it's in Philadelphia. I'm still predicting a Vikings victory though because that is what true fans do especially if they happen to have the best team.
Who is hurting more tonight Saints fans or Atlanta fans or Pittsburgh fans?
Actually many Vikings fans are hurting because they know their team should have blown out
the Saints. Mike Zimmer has not come out and said that he is disappointed in the Vikings play because we are always glad to win. I feel certain though we can play better than we did against the Saints.
I've always believed that it's better to keep playing and not have a week off. Your team should be sharper if they have just played a game. I think the Saints offense was still very hot after the Panthers game and they showed that in the second half versus the Vikings.
In addition the Vikings have not been there as the Saints have been as far as winning titles and holding leads in playoff games. They have to learn how to do that and not give in to complacency.
Remember the 1998 season? The Vikings went 15-1 and lost (at home) to the Falcons in the NFC Championship. This will be a repeat of 1998.
The Eagles for the 2nd week in a row are the betting underdog- just more bulletin board material for the locker room. Good, it makes the Eagles angry and disrespected. They will play with a chip on their shoulder and destroy the Vikings.

Hopefully Viking fans like you are getting more and more rare. For many only a Super Bowl win will get them to believe that we are not cursed. Sad but true.

"Born in the 856," sounds like a Viking to me!

If a Saints receiver did it in the first quarter, or perhaps even any time during the game, you would not be saying that.
Not the same person as 856. Not even a Vikings fan (a Seahawks fan actually) but do love watching football and have followed this year pretty closely. I truthfully am not sure the Eagles can win next week-if they had Wentz maybe...I just don’t find their offense that threatening. But it is home field advantage and outside, so maybe they can pull it off. I just desperately want someone to beat the Patriots!
I also want someone to beat the Patriots. Statistically the scariest is the Jacksonville Jaguars but they do not have the experience on their roster. The Vikings are not an old team but they do have some people who have been in super bowls and the playoffs before this season.
The Vikings should beat the Eagles easily (if 10 games were played between the two the Vikings would win 7). But the Vikings have to show up and play the whole 60 minutes. They had a letdown versus the Saints. They should have won that game by 20 points.
With the Super Bowl being in Minneapolis it does not really matter who they play. The Vikings will be huge favorites. (The NFL should never schedule the game at someone's stadium!)
Did you see the coverage of the Diggs play on TV? The commentators said that the Saints were in the wrong defense on that play. So do not just go and blame that play on #43. It also came down to coaching and the Vikings have better coaching.
Did you know that the Vikings have had four former assistant coaches go on and win a super bowl as a head coach? Mike Tomlin, Brian Billick, Pete Carroll, and Tony Dungy were at one time coaches on the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff.
Can you name an NFL team that has more former assistants who won super bowls as head coaches?
