Nope. The boxers, MMA'ers & experts disagree & think Conor did great.

Anyone complaining just wants to complain.
Very good fight.
Conor exceeded expectations.
Floyd was aggressive.
All the pros & experts agree.

No. Floyd is a PROFESSIONAL BOXER. He was smart. He danced around for a few rounds, gassed the Irishman, then punched him in the face a bunch of times. Nothing to it.
You are right, though. It was a total joke of a fight. I think it was $100 per TV view. Not hard to figure out who the losers were tonight.

His "hits" are about accumulating points until and unless his opponent tires. All he landed on Pacquiao were love taps.
After a while you will see popular opinion agree with me. Under MMA rules the fight would have been over in 10 seconds, not 10 rounds. This isn't about Mayweather, it's about boxing - it's a has-been sport on its way out.
Butthurt
Not under the MoQ rules, I'm not. I'd win by DQ.
No money on it, don't care about either fighter, but I'm glad it made boxing look like the shit sport it is. 19th century dinosaur and now proven source of fatal degenerative brain damage. Couldn't count the times the kickboxwrestler had to stop or be stopped from reflexively taking dominant positions.
MacGregor said it himself.
Give him 2 more rounds, and Mayweather is gone.
But the ref did it by boxing rules (not MMA), and called it early.
Depriving the fans of a great comeback.
Conor McGregor landed more punches on Floyd Mayweather than Manny Pacquiao - in two fewer rounds. The Irishman fell short on his professional debut as he was stopped in the 10th session by Mayweather. But he had early success as he won the opening three rounds - and that was reflected in the punch stats.McGregor landed 111 of the 430 punches he threw, a percentage of 26.That compares favourably to Pacquiao who landed 81 of the 429 shots he threw, a percentage of 19.The Filipino boxing legend was soundly outpointed when he fought Mayweather two years ago.Mayweather outlanded McGregor 130-60 in rounds six through ten at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor had a 51-40 edge in landed punches in the first five rounds before he was eventually stopped.
Punch stats
Mayweather
Total 170/320 (53%) Jabs 18/59 (31%) Power punches 152/261 (58%)
McGregor Total 111/430 (26%) Jabs 27/98 (28%) Power punches 84/332 (25%)
My assessment of the fight:
Mayweather +1
McGregor +1
McGregor fans -1

How many of those were (illegal) hammerfists?

Those hammerfists weren't scored.
If it went 2 more rounds it would have been a Mayweather decision. So still a L for McGregor either way.
McG wasn't throwing hard shots since about round 3 or 4. So a win wasn't going to happen.
Also those saying McG got in more shots than Pac.....of course he did. Mayweather was more aggressive because he could afford to be. Because of that he's going to eat more shots. He knew McG didn't have the skill set or power to KO him.
EVERYONE has KO power with 4oz gloves lol. Now, if this match was boxing rule with the MMA 4oz gloves.....that would be interesting.

McGregor didn't just run out of gas, Mayweather took his legs out with all the bodyshots in the first rounds. While McGregor was trying to overwhelm Floyd and looking for that lucky punch, Mayweather was carefully laying the groundwork for later in the fight.
You could see Conor was totally outclassed by a 40 year old Mayweather out of retirement. Although McGregor showed skill using his longer reach to keep Floyd out of range, forcing Floyd to be more aggressive and leave openings for Conor's counters.
Conor landed a significant amount of blows... because Mayweather didn't respect his punches. He took the first few, shrugged them off, and knew the fight was his. Mayweather's punches had way more speed and power, you could hear them loudly every time. Conor, not so much, mostly taps.
The referee allowed Conor way too many punches to the back of Floyd's head, didn't even warn him once. He should have received at least one penalty point. He also did a good amount of punching from behind. It's clear Conor didn't prepare the fight enough to overcome those instincts or that he knowingly was landing illegal blows.
Still, Conor took rounds 1 and 3, and maybe 7 or 8, don't remember which, but that's it. It wasn't a close fight at all. The referee didn't stop the fight too soon, Conor was defenseless taking punches like a rag doll. He wouldn't have survived that round, and the ref's job is to avoid excessive damage to the fighters. It was the right call, even if it gave Conor an excuse (which anyone who isn't blind will see is BS).
And that's that. I'm puzzled even the most rabbid MMA fans expected a different outcome. McGregor has a natural skill, but he's no boxer yet. He fought more or less well while Mayweather allowed it, and then it was over. 2 decent rounds out of ten. Floyd didn't even have to bring his A game, he looked like he was in the middle of a sparring session instead of an actual fight.

Boxing is a beautiful and complex sport. If you give it a chance, you'll be hooked too.
MMA is way more complex and fun to watch. Boxing is kind of boring. This fight was kind of silly. McGregor could literally rape Mayweather in the middle of the ring if he chose to...making it a handicap match where he can only use one of his many skills is silly.

And McGregor wouldn't last 10sec in the old UFC where there were no weight classes and no rounds and no rules.
What's your point?

Dumb post. Floyd NEVER danced & it was a good fight.
The old UFC was basically bar room brawls. McGregor would demolish any of the older fighters who are near his weight.

He mastered the art of hit and not get hit.

That's on Pacquiao. Didn't fight with any real aggressiveness or urgency.
It seems the Floyd tried to bet on himself before the fight to win by KO before round 9.5--halfway through round 9. His bet was denied for being too specific for someone directly involved in the fight. So, why was Floyd so certain that KO (TKO) would happen exactly when it did?
Still don't get why this fight got so much buzz. I guess promotion is very effective. It can people to toss $89 out the window. It was hardly a match between the top two fighters in the world.
You had a guy who had never had a professional boxing match vs a 40 year old guy who had not fought in two years.
The 40 year old was very good in his prime.
The big money bets went for Mayweather. The dumb bets and there was apparently a ton of little guy betting on Conor. Guess what. The little guy losst. I heard there were two people who bet over a million dollar bets on Thursday or Friday. They won. Again shows you there are a lot of dumb people out who fall for hype.
