Hey all,
Im a rising senior in high school and have been coming off multiple injuries. I've never been injured before I had a stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal in the winter. I took 6 weeks off and started gradually building up mileage for spring track. Ran for 7-8 weeks and got up to 35 mpw with 2-3 workouts when I noticed a pain during an easy 5 mile run. Ran on it for a few days. My calves got really tight and sore so I went to the doctor. Doctor said it was a stress reaction (not fracture) on both of my distal fibulas.
Took about 4.5-5 weeks off and started gradually building up again for summer training for XC. After 3 weeks, I did an easy 4.5 mile run and did about 1 mile on the road and the next day my LEFT (not right) fibula felt a bit tender. Not sure if this is natural or not and whether I should be worried. If anyone could explain why this is happening to me or if they had a similar injury, I would really appreciate it. This has been super frustrating and I just want to be healthy and running consistently. THANKS!
