Who has had this done and how was your recovery experience?
I did 10 years ago. I had it done via laparoscopic procedure. Outpatient in a hospital
My recovery was a follows.
I ran up to the day before surgery. After, I took 2 weeks off from any activity
Then I did low impact for 2 weeks. Elliptical (25 min) and biking (45 min) about every other day.
Then back to easy running every other day for a couple more weeks. Every now and again the incisions would feel itchy.
I started marathon training after that so my recovery was pretty agressive. (I BQed though)
I had the procedure on a Thursday and was back to work by Monday. I had no complications.
My recovery was pretty good. Just listened to my body.

dude take gold coin grass and do the "Andreas moritz liver and gallblader protocol" I assure you can avoid the surgery and feel years younger. Try it its like 2 weeks you can save a lot of $ and protect an organ. Im not selling you any product just saying this out of experience , it helps a ton.
If it doesnt work do other things, but trust me at least try it.
had three gallstone attacks several years ago when I let myself go way way over race weight and diet was terrible
since back to running regularly with a good diet, not even a peep of a problem
it's possible to fix this with diet
and google for complaints about people who did the surgery, it messes up your life
Mine was awful for nearly a week following surgery due to poor management of the post-operative phase. Surgeon said I could run right away but they forgot to manage the pain meds like a runner would hydration for a marathon. Morphine can cause dehydration leading to constipation and that can stop urine output too. Both not good. They waited until I was constipated to then start the stool softeners, I was miserable for 4 days, could barely walk, every breath hurt.
They give you an i.v. of saline but take stools softeners before going in and after while you're on any opioid med. 2 colace should work, adjust as needed, ask them about this beforehand or during prep.

I was not overweight and had a decent diet. So not everyone will respond to those changes. As I said I was training up to my surgery.
I've known a couple people who's lives are just fine post surgery
Thanks for the feedback, guys!

when you lack a gallbladder, more fat is left unremulsified. Thus, you will be farting way, way more than you ever have. If you find that acceptable, go for the surgery.
