You're clearly a moron, as I posted who holds the world record and I was there in Berlin when David broke the record. As I said, put up or shut up little boy. I've met both David and Eliud and he will break David's record and then you and your 13 personalities will run like a little sissy boy.
Put the money up or shut up. You said he'll "never" break the world record, I said he will. Your lack of knowledge in running is quite apparent, but are you dumb enough to bet? I thought not.
Ever hear of Dubai, Paris, Rotterdam, Berlin, London on a cool day, etc...
Gosh there are more than a few ignorant runners (joggers) on this site.
OP is clearly smarter than you. Who is David?
Ha, ha, ha!!!!!!! Hi Peppers pot (aka Jameson), you really made yourself look stupid there didn't ya?
David is David Kimetto, the world record holder!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
If I told you who I am, you'd look even more the fool. You post who is David????
You are now in first place for the most ignorant post of the year, congrats Jameson (aka Peppers pot).
Agreed. You really didn't even troll very well. That makes you look, well, dumb! At least know the world record holder's first name or stay on the sidelines pepper.
ummm, that's what us trolls do;) I live a sad existence and actually do live in my parent's basement. I didn't even read anything about the thread, just being an idiot.

Again. Who is David Kimetto?
FYI, this thread is from 2017.
He had another chance in London, but the weather didn't co-operate. He'll have at least one other chance.
Sorry, I actually am Peppers pot (obvious handle change) and I realized that I was in fact wrong about my prediction, so I wimped out and changed my mind. Truthfully, I didn't even know who David was as I kinda am a hobby jogger, 58 years old, and alone:(
Anyways, sorry for mucking up the boards. But I have run 23:11 for 5k.
OK. You got me. I keep, calling him David, but his name is Dennis Kimetto. My bad, but I really had no idea who he was. My coach told us the world record holder is David and I just looked it up. He is going to get some razzing tomorrow. My bad.
This thread is embarrassing. I understand someone claiming that Kipchoge won't break the WR due to lack of opportunity, but claiming he can't do it is total idiocy.
I can think of two marathons where his performance was clearly more impressive than the current WR and shows he can easily go under 2:02:57.
London marathon when he ran 2:03:05. Kipchoge got into a tactical/mental battle with Biwott and slowed for a few kilometres deciding when to go. Still got within seconds of the WR.
This year's London marathon, 2:04 low in temperatures 15 degrees Celsius above reasonable marathon weather. Outrageous run.
Also add in the Sub 2 event, that run was worth 2:02 around Berlin.
Kipchoge has not shown any signs of being 'past it'. I don't think you watched the race this year.

You can only go to the well so many times. Kipchoge had a chance to break the world record but that sub 2 hour attempt sealed his fate. Eliud will never break the world record now. Could he have? We will never know for sure.
WHERE YOU AT NOW?
I'm still here, feeling embarrassed and remorseful.
Well, at least Peppers pot admit. But reading through this thread, it does look like Peppers does not know anything about elite running marathon. Could be someone like Banana bread who keeps claiming Bekele can break the world record, but looking at all his recent runs, it does not look like he can be anywhere near his PR in the marathon. Could he have done it back when he ran 2:03:03? Doubtful. It takes good weather, luck, and perseverance - something he doesn't have. Just look at his Amsterdam 2018 marathon, with only 1 or 2 km to go and he walks off? I might have been more lenient if he had finished and not just dropped off. He has been DNF too many times.
The shoes are the reason for the record. If not for the shoes, OP is probably right.

Yes. I believe you. Except when Kipchoge fails again to break the record, you will be nowhere to be found. Kipchoge will never break it. That is the whole point of the thread. Look at many of you so sure Kipchoge was going to break it last year. But of course it did not happen...
I am Peppers pot. I am a complete and utter idiot and will have to change my handle as I know zero about "real" running and very little about hobby jogging. I am without a doubt, the most ignorant insecure poster on these boards.

No, he wasn't right. Peppers pot is an idiot.

I wonder if this guy ever came back to admit how silly he was. See it a lot on this site: people come in and make these steadfast and sometimes anger fueled predictions. They tell everyone else what a fool they are. The opppsite of their prediction happens, and they never have enough character to admit they were wrong.

Why I say people that make such adamant claims should have the cojones to at least get a registered handle.

I predicted Fat Rupp, and nobody has the character to admit I was right.

oh no!
The written word is unforgiving.
I am sure this is one statement /prediction you loathe.
