Yikes.
with the width of that store and how fat the car traveled into it, its amazing they weren't all ran over. Hopefully the kid is ok. Its a shame cause theres a brick pillar outside the shop that must have just missed blocking the car
This store is managed by Trent Briney, 4th in the 2004 Olympic Trials marathon.
Fetch that's scary. I can just imagine being in there buying new trainers and being excited about a big race coming up and running in general and then all of the suddenly getting injured beyond repair, running career destroyed. Of course it is good that no one was killed first and foremost.

Indeed it is. Briney was among the injured but indicated on social media last night that he was okay. No update yet on the youngster in critical condition.
http://www.denverpost.com/2017/04/29/vehicle-drives-into-parker-store/Been to that store a couple times and this is bizarre. The store is in a shopping center next to a grocery store, not like in front of a road or highway. It's a parking lot with a 20-30 foot setback.
The police are calling this a classic case of the driver over-pronating the brake pedal.......
In other words, someone must have been parked in the front of the store and accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the using the brakes to pull out of the parking lot?

Sure hope the child in critical condition pulls through and everyone heals up well. What a bad deal.
I always liked Trent.
When I was a week or so out before my first marathon I had a bad case of ITBS and no idea what it was. In desperation I headed out to one of the Hansons' stores with the hope of quizzing with some of the runners working there. Trent was working and chatted with me for over an hour in between waiting on other customers. His advice on how to manage the issue saved my race. He was walking around in a boot after Achilles surgery so I think this was after his 2:12 trials race.
What kind of 'medical' incident could cause this? GTFO!! Drunk, drugs, texting or some combination most likely...

Nah, just another senior citizen confusing the brake and gas pedals.. Happens all the time.
They won't get charged and granny is probably back on the road right now heading to a quilting bee or a line dancing class.
It's called mental retardation.

The girl injured in the store crash last month has died. Still no word on what caused the driver to plow through over the curb in a parking lot and crash through the store.

So sad. I can't imagine losing my daughter Luke that.
Politicians won't do much if anything to get these senile old goats off the road because they are by far the most reliable voting block.
