Signed up for a 5k tmrw with the fam a while back- had been expecting to run 17:50-18:30 range. I haven't raced a 5k in a year but my training had been going well until a recent bicycle accident; I took 2 weeks off and feel pretty much healed except for the one bruising on my knees, hip, and tailbone. However I continued to sonleg weights, swim, and bike.
Anyways, I had planned I casually walk it tomorrow (confident in the plan to run on sunday on the trails) but I've never done such a thing in my life. I feel it could be foolhardy for my first tester run back to be a balls out 5k on a hilly paved course. Or am I actually in perfect taper mode?
