That looks like it was a good race. Are the times up anywhere yet? Thanks for the update.
I bet Lindsay is not sharp after NCAA indoor as she probably rested up for a couple weeks. But yeah, it would be nice to have some flashresults working.
she did not rest, not as much as she should have
she over raced indoors, and I think it will comeback to haunt her outdoors
What happened to Roetter and Horowitz this yr? They didn't run much indoors or looked weak and haven't open outdoors.
Lindsay raced just as much last year and I think that turned out ok.
eating problems? eat a burger, maybe you won't be "weak"
Roetter too? I thought she was a very level headed hs atlete with a potential. Now that I think of it she did look a lot stronger early in her career. Seemed last time I saw her run for Duke her knees were knocking from all the pronation. Roxbury looks very strong so you can't say it's the whole team.
ROWBURY wins in 4:17.12
low 4:17's for Rowbury
high 4:18's for Donohue
4:19's for Gallo
race was rabitted by Horowitz for 800 meters. Donohue took over at 800 meters. Rowbury outkicked the field.
pretty darn fast for April 8..wow.

huh?? they ran that in february/march!
Based on the 1500 results from the Duke invite, it looks like the Duke women have a pretty strong 4 x 1500 team.
Rowbury 4:17.12
Leon 4:23.80
Wort 4:24.65
Matic 4:26.98
Total 17:32.55
Meagan Leon and Liz Wort have really stepped it up this year! Rowbury keeps getting better and Matic is coming on strong after foot surgery.
Go Duke!!!
Sally Meyerhoff could also definitely run low 4:20s, and Clara Horowitz can be close. Matic is an 800 runner, surprised she ran the 1500.
Also of note...
Paige Miller runs 34:04 in the 10k... they combined the mens and womens heats together, and she beat some guys. Thats an auto qualifier for her.
axel, please. It is a fact that 4:17 is a smokin time for April, and there have been very few like that at Duke over the years. Do you really think they are still working off their NCAA indoor peak? If they didn't rest slightly coming out of indoors they will likely not be having fun in Sactown come mid June.
Paige Miller didn't beat "some guys" she beat a lot of guys! Go Paige! Must have been pretty demoralizing for the dudes in that race.
Duke clearly has depth in the women's mid-distance and distance races. Kevin Jermyn is doing a great job developing these women.
By the way, congrats are in order to Jermyn on his wedding last week-end.!
It looks like it is going to be a very exciting outdoor track season for the Blue Devils.
Fun, Fun, Fun!!
Your assumption is that they "peaked" indoors. Their (gallo, donohue, rowbury) PR's are better than high teens, 4:10 for LG. They are in decent, not spectacular shape. Nice showing by Duke, tho.
The Duke women have been focusing all year to peak at outdoor nationals. Most of the women who raced at indoor nationals took a month off from racing so they could rest up and get ready for the outdoor season.
This squad has come a long way in the past 3 - 4 years and their hard work is finally paying off for them. This is clearly a much stronger Duke team as compared to the times that they ran at the Duke Invite last year at this time.
Rowbury is 5 seconds faster
Leon is 12 seconds faster
Matic is 11 seconds faster
Wort's improvement is off the charts.
And as it was earlier pointed out, don't forget about Meyerhoff, Horowitz and Miller. They can all run a very strong 1500 meter race too.
Go Duke!
axel, stop it. I never implied they peaked from indoor.
LG is definitely a sub 4:10 potential, and Rowbury right there also. But very few early cold weather April times ever match the top indoor times they are run for the serious team points in March. Trust me, the Duke Invite in April can be really nasty weather.
