What is the best steeplechase spike? Is the ventilus plus a good choice (or is the lanang worth the extra money)? right now I'm in the zoom w and they're fine except I get bad blisters :(

lanangs and vent plus's are both awesome steeple spikes. either one will work out well.
I run in the zoom w and I think they are a great spike. I ran two steeple races in them and got pretty bad blisters but after that I have never had blisters again and they fit like a glove. I would say stay with them and break them in instead of wasting the money on new ones when you have great ones as it is. I set my pr of 10:47 in them and wouldn't change for anything. Good Luck :)
Dude,
as long as the spikes arent made completely of cotton, your fine. Your feet will toughen up in time. I bought some spikes off eastbay for like 20 bucks or something and have gotten a blister or two, but for gods sake, being a steeple runner blisters ought to be the least of your worries.
it's not that it's a blister. anytime i run in the zoom w's it rips the skin off my heels, steeplechasing or not--i just wanted input because i need a new pair anyway.
