After reading the book several times and being a miler myself, I find it hard to believe all the miles he puts in during the course of the book. He runs consistantly over 100 miles per week. I know this book has many great reviews and it is considered the best running novel out there. From a mileage standpoint, is it normal?
One week he ran 127, this is marathon type trianing it seems to me, not for a miler. Do elite milers really log this many miles? The book is great and I consider it a favorite, just a general question that's all.
