My coach is a firm believer that I suck at the mile and 800 so he has me training as a 3200 runner. (my mile pr is actually better than my 3200 pr but I think I could have a better 3200 time if he let me race it).
So I'm expecting to run the 32 in pretty much every meet. I go and check the events for the next meet. I am in the 1600, 800, and 4x4.
I can't see a single good reason for this. I am not fast enough to score for the team so there is really no point.
