Unfortunately this is as concerning of a threat to our system than I can remember. It's much more than a bunch of rednecks voting. We have a populist president with total control over a segment of our population who has used this lever to replace key members of our government and legal system with individuals with loyalty to trump first, country second. His willingness to brutally attack not only enemies but allies who cross him has cowered the Republican party to forgo any ethics.
He has no oversight and he will do anything and break any law to win re-election.

Correct, a couple of years ago most would have told us we are just overreacting but here we are, being proven right every day. Dictators are able to stay in power via corruption and fear. Trump has the corruption part down well and is well on his way to effectively making his supporters too afraid to turn their backs on him. Follow me and I can make you rich or don’t support me and I’ll destroy your life.
