I started running without any background my freshmen year of college, so I still don't know how to properly train, post-collegiately.
I've still got quite a bit of goals since I have only been running for 3.5 years, and I would like some help figuring out how to properly towards my benchmarks. Having limited access to people to train with also doesn't help, but it doesn't discourage getting after the grind.
My primary goals are 14:30-ish in the 5k, and a sub 4:00 in the 1500. Sub 2:00 in the 8, and a quick 10k would be sweet, but I'm mostly invested in the 5k and 15.
Here are my current PR's:
800: 2:00
1500: 4:14
3000: 9:06
5000: 15:38
8000 (xc): 26:20
10000: 33:00
I'm at around 70-80 mpw which might be too much since I'm used to a max of 55 mpw in college, but it's gotten me back to around my 8k pr and the legs don't really feel that flat anymore.
Any tips/guidance would be awesome. Thanks guys.
