The Nikes still have the silly hole in the heel. I have the Victory 2s and I couldn't give them away. The Mamba is the most sensible of the Nikes but earlier models were better looking. The NB 800 looks a lot like El G's 2004 bespoke Nikes which morphed into the Victory in 2008, but like El G's they don't have the silly hole. The 5000 has bulked up but its lightness was it's old selling point and no longer looks as cool but it maybe more reliable.
The Zoom D looks good also but its spikes are in all the wrong places.
If you are running mid-distance get the NB 800 but otherwise do what I did and the Adidas Avanti for longer distances and the Puma Harambee for mid-distance events.
