hi, i am new. i just want to give alittle background, i run the 1600m and the 3200m in track and i run crosscountry in highschool. my mile right now is a 4:52 and my 3200 is a 10:30. i have been trianing at about 70 to 75 mpw for about 6 weeks now and my goal is to break 10 in the 3200. i need help!!! i know that i can do it but for some reason my times arent really getting better (they do each meet but not by much, even in huge fast invitationals. what should i do to get my time down. i have about 2 months until regionals and i want to break 10 there, but would prefer to do it earlier. heres what my schedule looks like now. mon-AM 7(each mile faster then before, start at 7 then work my way down to 5:55 for last mile)PM intervals(usually 400 to 700); tues- AM 5 easy to moderate(6:30 to 6:45)PM 5 to 8 easy; wed- AM 4 easy PM race( 1600,3200, plus about 4 miles of warmup/cooldowns); thur- AM 5 easy PM 10 easy to moderate( sometimes do a 4 mile tempo in this but not lately); fri- AM 5 to 6 moderate PM 4 easy (race saturday);sat- 3200 race(invite)i try to get in about 10miles this day after; sun-5 easy. thanks for reading.please help
