We love you Shannon!
I thought it was a cowardly race by Simpson. She was obviously just trying to draft off Rowbury the entire time. Shannon was racing for the win whereas Simpson was only racing Shannon. But Jenny didn't have the kick today.

Basically the opposite of the usual scenario you mean?
Rowbury definitely faked the fall to make it seem like Muir hit her.
40s at the Grove today!!
Totally impressed by the Rowbury effort - was clearly committed to running for the win. Not something we usually see from her.
I'm sure Simpson will feel devastated until she gets back to her room and picks up her Olympic medal. Then she will feel pretty damn good about herself.

True, it's better to be lucky than good. Still she must feel somewhat guilty knowing that medal doesn't really represent her standing amongst her peers.
If Rowbury beat simpson it must mean the race is relatively meaningless.

I don't. She pushed Muir back at the line.

Some people know how to peak, some don't.

She sure has been lucky a lot.

Obvious interference and should've been disqualified.

That was a fabulous snub at 5:14.
However, Rowbury's finish was totally retarded. If she hadn't done the stupid gymnastics to reach in front of Muir, she would have run faster, won by a greater margin, wouldn't have tripped, and wouldn't have caused several others to fall.
She should have been DQ'd for that move.
Note to Shannon, stop the stupid trying to block out other runners, and just run.
Excellent race, Stupid finish wrote:

I take this part back.
Without the foul, Muir would have won.
To bad they don't DQ people on the Diamond League.
Shannon I generally like you as a runner, but stop the questionable moves.

A fortnight ago athletes were being disqualified from the biggest races of their lives for minor, perhaps irrelevant infractions. Tonight an athlete can obviously physically impede their rival in the last few strides in order to win and apparently that's fine.
This site is hilarious. Muir runs 3:55, faster than both the US girls and everyone cries 'Doper'. A few days later and Rowbury runs within a couple of seconds of Muir's time and beats Muir as well. And not a hint from anyone suggesting she dopes.
If you beat a 3:55 runner in a similar time then it suggests you're almost as good as. The double standards on this site are quite staggering.
I actually think both are clean and I have no reason to suspect either. But I just wanted to point out the blatant bias against anyone not American, and in particular British, who dares run as fast or faster than USA's best.
Yea except Simpson raced when it counted. Remind me again how many Olympic medals Rowbury has?

Rowbury's 2012 Olympic medal will come after they clean out the dirty athletes that cheated their way in front of her.
