Sick match ups especially the 5k. Everyone at this point should just throw out everything they have since the season is almost over.

Also excited to know if felix can run sub 22 for 200m.

The race will be awesome as long as they go with the pacers and there will be plenty of sub 13:00 but there's very little chance Lagat can go sub 13:00. the dude is a beast but I can't see him holding the pace to go under 13:00. He fell off the pace in Rio so it would be hard to imagine that he will keep up w it this week. I hope that he does but doubt that he can.

I am curious to see the 1500m field, Jager can defiantly get at least 12:55, and Kejelcha can maybe get his time down below 12:50 if their is a fast pace set, after that 3k in Paris we know he can defiantly do it, it's a question of how the pace goes. I'm assuming the pacers will do 2k or 3k, but

Jager defiantly can run 7:55. Shaheen could run run 12:48 in the 5000m, so Jager at his very best can probably run 12:52. As for Kejelcha, he looked great in that 7:28, and even splits are probably best for him, if he runs 12:46 to get the U20 record

Jager is the best hurdler in the game and he hasn't broken 8. He may well break 13 but your logic is faulty.

I wouldn't be surprised if the top time is only 12:57 or 58, at best. I really want to be proven wrong, but God, they never go after fast times anymore in the 5K. Same with almost any distance race outside the marathon, in which case they ALL go after fast times.

I'd kill to even see someone go for just a sub-12:55.

I am with Junior Records on this! Jager's shape during that race was at least

7:57 and probably faster. At the time he fell, he had a 2 + seconds gap on Birech. Had he slowed down reasonably before jumping over the hurdle, he would have cleared it with no problem and would have lost no more than a second. Given Birech ran 7:58 that day, Jager would have done 7:56 - 7:57. He has a chance in Brussels to rest this argument once for all. It won't be a shock to me if he wins in 7:56.

I am very curious to see he flat speed over 5k, hopefully they will ask for a fats pace and go with it like the 3k in Paris, not like Dibaba in Lausanne.

I'm surprised people aren't talking about this, but the Pole vault should be great, Lavillenie claims to be tired, but he looked good in Paris and since he's going up against Thiago again I wonder if he may pull out something special. Speaking of Thiago, was his Rio performance a fluke, or can he go and beat Lavillenie again? and can they take the competition of 6 meters again, that would fun to watch. Thiago could be the future of the pole vault, he's only 23, and has gone over 6 meters, maybe he could get into the 6.10s?
