I usually drink cold, potato water. It's cheaper than coconut water and you can make it at home.
1/4 tsp of Morton Lite Salt contains 350mg of potassium. Sprinkle some on your banana for an extra boost.

Potassium comes from potash which is farm fertilizer that comes from dirt. So you can dig up some rich black soil and mix it in with your gator aid on long runs. Most elites know this and that's why they have their own mixed bottles.
