Ridiculous analogy.
You're basically saying that unless your the best in the world at every age group and go on to be the best as an adult, then you must be doping!
T&F is littered with athletes who weren't the best at 15, 17 or whatever, and went on to become Olympic champions or WR holders.
Are you not aware of the fact that different individuals mature and grow at different rates? Ovett had reached his full height and weight by 18. Some do t mature until 21 or even later.

Yep, you'd definitely call them equally likely WR holders.
Ridiculous analogy.

Ovett had Andy Norman as an agent/manager. Andy Norman manipulated drug testing procedures back in the 1980s and married Fatima Whitbread, the javelin thrower. Although I loved the way Ovett used to run the fact that he had Norman as an agent does leave one with many doubts,
Ok, fair play to point, but has Muir run either a competitive and well paced 800 or 3000 this year? Her pbs may reflect the fact she has not run either distance recently, or that they were in races and not fast paced time trials!
As an example, Coe's pbs for 3 and 5 k were 7:54 and 14:06. Anyone who believes that was all he was capable of are not very astute or knowledgeable; and I'm not suggesting that is you btw.
I personally feel that at this point Muir is clean. There isn't any convincing evidence to suggest otherwise. No, I'm not 100% sure and my position may change over time if other things emerge. And it has nothing to do with being British. I mentioned Murphy earlier in a post, and I don't think he's doping either.
These boards are getting saturated and ruined, imo, with constant accusations against anyone who runs fast. It's quite depressing really and is ruining the sport.

Anabolic steroids are boring and testing can detect use for months after one single IM injection of nandrolone.

Anabolic steroids are old and boring.
I'm half asleep, but are any of these tests being used or not?

What does the "MF" in Miss Muir's name stand for?
Mary Francine.
The Brits trained at Font Romeu, except for their marathoners who went to Colorado. The UK marathon brothers got around $7000 for 3 months to train in the U.S. That's Barry Fudge's endurance program, which produced a 9th place for the Scot. Gillis from Guelph, Canada I believe didn't go to altitude and got a 10th.
Conley is moving up to the marathon.
Conley only ran 15:36 at Rio.
Conley:
"Heat can take a profound toll on the body, and training often has to be modified. Since I am now in a place of scaling back training before racing the 5000m in Rio the timing fits nicely. Physiologists recommend spending two weeks in humid conditions to fully acclimate. I began the process in Flagstaff by running during the warmest times of the morning and wearing long sleeves and tights, mostly to help make Houston feel like less of a shock to the system. We’re now spending a week in Houston where it’s very hot, and then we’ll have a full week in Rio before my first race. At this stage of preparation the goal of training is less about building fitness and more about being prepared for the specific demands and conditions of the races at the Olympic Games."
Did it work?
No, a woman running 3:55 doesn't have to have a 51 or 52, but 3:55 correlates with a 52 400m and you will see it among the men. Muir has set two pr's at 400m in the past several years of 55.7 and a few tenths faster, so that's how I know her speed. I'd love to be able to average just about 7-8 seconds slower per lap for the mile than the 400m like her. That'd take my pr down 24 seconds or so.
2:08 pace at 800m being set, still slow, why in the world??? It seems that all the pacing at the meets is kind of slow, 4:00 1500 pace, 13:10 5000m pace, 55 seconds for the 800m is fast, a 9:00 steeple is fast, just not for someone doing 8:52.
Despite being muscle bound, Semenya, this year's African champion at 1500m in 4:01.99, also HAS already run low 4 at 1500m and probably could run well under 4. Put Semenya in the 1500m in Brussels and see what happens.

Cram only had high 48 - 49 speed, but he ran "hard" mileage'
Cram:
" Before we make an issue of this, I never set out to run a set pace in my training. You don't start out and say, 'Right, we're going to do our mileage at 5:20 pace.' It's something that builds over a period of time. We just got to a level of fitness where if we wanted to feel we were doing a session, we needed to go at a good level of intensity. But occasionally, there are going to be days when you're feeling tired and you just go out and jog. So don't get the impression that every run is done at five-minute mile pace. If you're doing 80-100 miles a week, of course you've got slower runs in there. But you've got to look at the overall picture and the overall picture was that the vast majority of my mileage was done at a good pace, but that didn't mean it was all done at five-minute mile pace. If I did a seven-mile run, it would probably start at a fairly leisurely pace, but the last two miles might be in nine minutes - so the intensity was really on the last two miles. And there wasn't any science in that - it was a bit how the Kenyans train now - I ran how I felt at the time. It just so happened that I often felt like running hard, but I built up to that. You shouldn't get a 15-year-old to go out and run five-minute miles."
Did Barry Fudge have Muir train this way?

Lol you Brits are hilarious
Less than zero doubt that Muir and all the other brits are filthy doping cheaters.
Agree, really hate it when athletes get accused of doping

Yeah, Alberto'sreally gotta keep away from from that stuff.
I think Laura Muir probably reached her full growth before 21, probably by 16 or 17. Cram ran 1:42.88/2:12.9, while also running 7:40 or better. His top speed would have been even greater but he did short rest intervals rather than max pace with long rest. He would do 15 sec per 100m of rest. So, just 400s or 440s in 57 (60 sec rest), 200s in 26 (30 sec rest) and this would be actually slightly slower than race pace in pr shape (26=1:44; 57=3:48 if those are 440y tracks).
IGF-1 lr3 .....................................................
how many times most it be repeated that this is the peptide that
been used at chronic levels now and many other sports now
britain yes and in many sports but for track so many countries success built
on back of this qatar , South africa even if cant dope like jamica did .
finally made it's way to bonnie scotland all be it decade late ..
besides that tennis player obvious with butchart ,
then throw this new ped Mildronate alpha in mix and watch out .
muir could likely be on this combo the way she finished in that race
just like dibaba did but was igf-1 + meldonium
dibaba likely excluded from source at moment so just relying on igf-1
wada's whole purpose is to provide doping to a ever select chosen few .
disgusting the level of deception and lies .......
utter joke .
hard to find someone not on this stuff nowadays
as know not tested for nor as long as these TO BIG TO FAIL
athletes still in game wont test for it nor mention it .
look at rio 100m semi
no doubt all 24 men on this peptide at very least, all of them ........................
all without question look at progression ,frequency of times etc ,no doubt
as obvious countries at it ,carribean ,us ,japan ,france ,qatar, south africa etc
or
similarly in the 400m final all on this peptide and majority of semi finalists
bar 4-5 on it .
and when has THERE ever been a faster time needed to qualify
44.49 .............................................unheard of ........................................
as for british in london 2017
could do well .
agree easily win heptathlon and mo farah and then
high jumper for women and maybe even men with medal
laura muir obviously and emily diamond or female hammer thrower
and then adam gemili with medal and if really dope male sprinter then 100m
and then all plastic british in female hurdles and long jump
easily get medal on day .
and the only one that possibly clean gred rutherford
close as usual
but if he suddenly starts jumping 8.40-8.50 rather than 8.20-8.30
then know some athletes given carte blanche to dope
or
what about host nation japan in 2020
they need there chosen gold medalist in event
or else i.o.c not doing job correctly .
will it be a sprinter ( japanese or non japanese),
as all on chosen peptide and if allowed steroids with it then watch out
and have there japanese sprinting star
but more likely 400mh men
most likely as usually open event .
cant think of others that at high enough level
where dope going to get them medal bar maybe
high jumper ,pole vaulter ,marathon but no females .
at rio
for brazil the only possible medalist were two pole jumpers
and with abit of dope got the help they needed for athletics gold medal
da silva was jumping good 5.80 before but not height that won ..
