Laura Muir just defeated the Olympic champion and Hassan over 1500m with a 3:55 new British record.
1:57 last 800m. Still think Lindsey Sharp deserved a medal?...

I am not really very familiar with Muir. Of course I saw what happened in the Olympics. Is she a clean athlete? If hope so. If so I am happy for her!
I'll admit I didn't see it - but splits seem to show 2.10 at 800. So if you think probably around 1.54/55 at 800 - not sure where this 1.57 is coming from.
Great run nonetheless.

I think they said a 1:57/1:58 last 800 on the TV.
Let's just hope Laura Muir's boyfriend (if she has one) isn't a pro cyclist...
That's the first thing I look for these days when people come out of nowhere.
Does she pass this test?
Splits...
400 - 64.5
700 - 1.52.8
800 - 2.09.2
1100 - 2.55.0
1200 - 3.10.4
1500 - 3.55.24
You can smash a world class 1500m field with a 2.02 800m so long as the first 700m isn't a jog!

I think it could be the clean WORLD RECORD for the women's 1500m!!!
Oh yea.
You could make an argument that Muir's time could be the fastest clean 1500 ever...
Bad day for Jenny ....
She can't play the race card or the dope card on the winner ...
However, she can play with T.U.E.'s ... She's clean as a 'Tuesday' morning!
Checkout Simpson's testing numbers and compare them with other USA mid-long distance runners .... Is the USADA in the tank with J. Simpson?
2016 - 4 test for the 'great one' as of 8/2016 (4 only for a multi-medal holder)
2015 - 1 test (think about that --- one test)
2014 - 2 test (just 2)
2013 - 2 test (just 2)
So Jenny (Ms Anti-Doper) what's really going on?

USADA should disclose all T.U.E.'s for public viewing ...
very unambitious pacing from gun, only 4-flat aim
drifting out to 2'09+ i expected to consign clocking to maybe 3'58 perhaps just a dip into 3'57s
to run 3'55.2 off that is incredible !!!
especially considering weather far too hot for a 1500 ( musta been close to 100F at trackside considering ambient 33C )
off more ambitious 63s pacing ( 2'06/3'09 ) at worst, in only 70 - 75F, she couda run
3'53+ !!!

Yes, you stupid idiot.
Sharp deserves a medal as top 3 in the women's 800m in Rio.
And Muir didn't run a 1:57 last 800.

I'm not trying to troll you, but in your opinion which all-time actual performance is the closest to what that athlete "could have" ran? Say, from 800m up. Most people aren't interested in "could have runs" and much prefer "did run", but I'm curious if you have thought about who has best-executed a race to their potential.
" 3:55.22, a time which only the Chinese, Eastern Europeans and world record holder Genzebe Dibaba have bettered. With the exception of Dibaba, no one in the world had run this fast in 19 years. "

If you believe this little Muir girl is clean, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
For those who are curious, some context might help:
1) She ran the 16th fastest time ever.
2) Of women running today, only Dibaba has run faster.
3) Everyone else who has run faster is either a known or suspected doper from China or Eastern Europe.
4) She is almost a second ahead of Hassan's PB, and over a second faster than Rowbury's AR and Kipyegon's PB.
5) Here are all her races under 4:03
3:55.22 Paris 27 Aug 16
3:57.40 Oly Park 22 Jul 16
3:58.66 Monaco 17 Jul 15
4:00.07 Paris 5 Jul 14
4:00.39 Oslo 11 Jun 15
4:00.53 Oslo 9 Jun 16
4:00.61 Rome 4 Jun 15
4:02.91 Hengelo 8 Jun 14
As of 2013, her 1500 PB was 4:07.76.
Her 800 meter time has been pretty constant since 2013, around 2:00.50
6) She tweets happily whenever she's tested: #100%me #irunclean

USADA tests athletes more if their biological passport shows suspicious numbers. The fact that Jenny, and Emma Coburn for that matter, are tested way less than Salazar athletes should tell you something.
