Haha
I don't hate fat people at all. I am disgusted by obesity though and wish (mostly for their own sake) they would change.
In a few years when she needs a double knee replacement she will no doubt attribute it to running.
There was a corner of the old adult video parlor I used to visit. It was dedicated to Lesbians and Transcons films. Not my cup of tea but to each his own.
I can't stop laughing. This is too absurd. Didn't know blogging about being terrible at shit you can't do was a thing.

Hell yes. Nice call.
This is one of the funniest threads I've ever seen. Thanks LR
Has she responded about this?
I watched the video and there are actually quite a few people who wander backwards through the finish. But they are obviously just strolling back to the gathering. And I bet I could find them finishing forward first if I looked for them.
Her chip finish time is when she walks purposefully back through. There's no video of her finishing forward. But I could see how she might try to spin it that she was just walking back to get a photo in front of the finish.

This was her response:

This so called run for charity folks are phonies.
Should not be allowed in real races like Boston.

Have you seen all the hobbyjogging blogs by so called ultramarathoners who walk stuff and expect applause?
"If you are a fat person who finds yourself at odds with chairs, this is just a reminder that it’s not you, it’s them. If a chair doesn’t work for you the problem is the chair, it’s not you. "
Wow...fat shamed by a chair. What a loser!
I'm over 6'1" and don't fit comfortably in most economy airline seats because they are designed for about 5'8" max. I've never realized until now that it is the airplane's fault.

Well, it's the airline's fault. They make profit off discomfort, which also applies to restaurants and bars where you can hear people's awkward first dates.
Her post gives me pause. While I think it is a terribly awkward thing to consider a narrow flimsy chair while fat, I don't think the solution is to make everything lazy-chair-sized like the horrible suburban restaurant she depicts with the oversized booths. That may be fine in most places, but in cities like New York, that's pricey real estate and you can't afford to spread out like that when your business is about turnover. Same with a doctor's office or hospital or public transit. She's asking the world to accommodate her special needs by making the wider size the norm because there is such a stigma to being obese, it is a humiliating prospect to consider a chair. So I think it is good that her goal is to talk about fat openly, so there is a matter of factness to it and you can go, Hey my fat friend, I have a wider chair for you but everyone else can suck it. But she can't expect the whole world to be seated in wide chairs when space is needed. NYC and Asia are full of uncomfortable narrow spaces and you know what, there are fewer fat people. You are not encouraged to spread out and take up so much space. There is some middle ground between stigma and keeping your body in check for societal norms (this goes for things like showering and clothing choices as well). What kind of sociopath uses a golf umbrella in Manhattan?
As far as the race, crossing the finish line in the wrong direction is so un-deft, I can't really think she is a devious conspirator. I think she may have cut the course unknowingly.
Keep in mind she actually took a medal from a volunteer and put it on before crossing the finish line backwards for her victory pose photo. Also she has been caught blatantly faking training selfies several times. In the first one she even changed outfits and took photos in different parts of her home to pretend she was doing several workouts.

The LRC Deputies have served justice upon this sumbitch.
We don't like Bandits in these parts.

I think it was the Reddit police who took the lead on this one.
What needs to happen in the future is to separate events into two categories.
1. Races where people actually run that are timed and have listings. Like they have always been.
2. Walking event where people are not timed but instead rewarded for finishing.
You can see by this idiot's nonchalant attitude towards the finish line and her girlfriends as well that they are oblivious to the fact that this is a timed running foot race. In her mind it is just this big get together where she can mosey around anywhere she wants and then cry "fat shaming" when she is called out on it. Then she goes to her blog to egg on the other fatties about how she is changing societal standards. She is a joke.
She has indeed done a service for obese people everywhere: she's shown that they are no different from "normal sized" people. She's proven that obese people TOO can cheat at athletic events!
Just like Oscar Pistorious, who proved that people with disabilities can run and murder people just like the non-disabled, this Fat-ivist has brought obese people a measure of equality.
Good for her.

You gotta admit, the whole chair situation was some 'must read' blogging.
It takes a special size of narcissist to blame the chairs and those providing the chairs when you can't fit into one.
I might agree about the restaurant thing though, surely it pays for them to provide adequate seating for the monsters, can't alienate your cash cows (or cash pigs). Unless it's all you can eat I suppose.

This story contradicts the popular narrative of this board that anyone below the top 1% only cares about finishing.
Even slow fatties care about time? That's impossible!
