Newcastle Jets u15s ranked top 20 in the world!! I’d be surprised if they are in the top,500 u15s teams in the world. Basically every European pro club would have a far better youth set up
Dude, so I am going to go out on a limb here and say that if the Australian women are ranked 5th in the world and got PASTED by a team of 13 and 14 year olds, that the US women, while likely more competitive than this, won't be exactly reversing the final outcome by such a massive degree. Furthermore this is a state team of kids and not even an equivalent national selection.
So to answer your question, yes that U15 team would still beat the US women's team. Hate to crush your dreams there.
In such games, the elite women will just be outmuscled and out sprinted by the boys, due to the one year testosterone spurt. Thats how they lose, on pure physicality.
Sometimes that is the reason, the game was played for the women (ie training should be harder the fight/match)
The women will usually have better technical skills, have better knowledge of the game (eg when and where to run to, or to pass, or do the lost art of the dribble), better team cohesion
If u prefer the woman's game you are watching the wrong teams. Women are not more technical nor do they have more cohesion. My sons u12 team soundly beat the us club nat u17 women's team in a 30m scrimmage. Their coach was stunned and called the game at 30m. Pretty sure a top aau u14 boys bb team could beat uconn women, probs not even close.
The Jets are rubbish and are a regional team so their juniors would be locals and probably not much chop. Now if you took the boys academy team from a top Euro club there isn’t a womens team alive that would even come close to beating them (the boys if motivated would likely hit 20+).
Football especially is a bad male vs female comparison. Football is the number one sport in the world so the pool of elite males is HUGE and players are routinely making pro debuts before 18 now. Dortmund started Jude Bellingham regularly at 17. Youssoufa Moukoko made his debut just after 16. That is insane but also pretty normal there (Havertz debuted at 17, same as Wirtz and Musiala)
I think a lot of women's basketball teams scrimage against pickup players. As in guys not even on the men's team, just some random guys interested in shooting hoops who go to the school. The women's team usually loses these matches, but it is great training for competing against other women.
Does u17 means girls who are 16yo (im British) ? Just 5yrs older than u12. A 16 yo is not a mature elite sports woman.
I was referring to women average age 25 to 30, playing for the national soccer team . They certainly DO have more team cohesion, game understanding etc. If the women's talent pool has sufficient depth, this is true.
The top women tennis players similarly, do have more technical skills, game understanding, than the 14 boys.
Serena Williams training partner was a top men college tennis player

The stories I have seen aren't a bunch of randoms. They were all high school players who weren't good enough for school. So like top 1% make player but not the .o1% who can play in college.
Yes, there is a substantial difference between male and females when it comes to speed, strength and skill as well. However, not nearly as much when it comes to endurance, especially for prepuberty girls. It's not uncommon to see 12 yo girls beat 12 yo boy in long runs. When I coached an age group team, I would sometimes have the 13-14 boys run relays against the 16-17 girls. The boys usually won, but it was competitive and excellent training for the girls. When I coached in the NCAA, most female athletes could not complete the training plans I used for high school boys. There is an undeniable substantial difference which is why I wish the NCAA and IOC would eliminate trans and intersex athletes from competing against biological females in any events.
