Does anyone know if the path along the river (Boston or Cambridge side) is cleared for running? Thanks.

not sure, but i'm betting that the fresh pond loop is... i'm off to go do 3 laps now, so we'll see i guess.
Yesterday afternoon I saw somebody running down the Boston side. They were between River St and the BU Bridge, heading towards Boston. The snowbank was too high for me to see HOW clear it was, but apparently it had been cleared enough for a person to run relatively normally
I gave the Charles a shot at about 1pm today (Monday 1/24), on the Cambridge side between River St and the Eliot bridge. Running right next to the river was pretty much impossible - even where some folks had walked and skiied the snow was too soft & deep to run on. However, on the other side of Memorial Drive, next to Harvard, the sidewalks had been pretty well cleared. West of De Wolfe St (near the footbridge) the footing was excellent. East of De Wolfe it was pretty icy. So all in all I found only about a mile of really good footing, but I figured it was more fun to run back and forth on that than it was to run on a treadmill.
i just went out to fresh pond, and it was great. getting there was an adventure, but jumping through big snow drifts was kind of fun (thankfully only for a mile or so). there were snowplow trucks driving around the fresh pond loop getting rid of the snow, so the footing was excellent. there was maybe a quarter inch of packed snow everywhere, which is much much better than anywhere else i've seen around here.
