No, but Northern Colorado might.

You're way off, chickie.
If you haven't read "Running with the Buffaloes" or the unofficial sequel "An Honorable Run", then these will give you a good clue about Mark Wetmore and the program. As another poster said, you should make plans that you want to transfer to CU (the University of Colorado at Boulder) to finish college, and then talk to him about walking on the team. (And be prepared to be told you can't.) It's known to be a pretty cut-throat program with a lot of people getting injured or not able to keep up with the top runners to make the top 7 by the end of the season. Lots of coaches don't like to recruit transfer students because there is less time to develop them in their training system. The first year is usually an adjustment year, then the second year is hopefully productive and injury-free.
The better you've trained, the less appealing a sub 15 guy is.
Think of it this way, is the coach more interested in the guy that's run 1520 off of 35-40 mpw, or the guy that's run 1450 off 70-80 mpw? The less trained kid is more appealing. Colorado probably has all their guys at 80-100 mpw. You don't have much room for improvement unless you've never done a track workout or something absurd like that.
So no, they won't be interested.
