Conselus Kipruto took a rolling fall at the water jump and still finished sixth.
hard adjusting from national uniforms to all this color conformity.
Hey Coe - how about requiring all uniforms to have the national flag somewhere visible? Not the whole thing - on the sleeve, somewhere so we can make some sense of all this.
Would be a way to put the team element back in too.

As a spectator I would like that.
However, it isn't particularly congruent with complaining about them enforcing uniform conformity (& restricting sponsor advertising) at Olympics.

Jager clearly peaked in Paris. World Championships fatigue can't be a factor as the steeple final was 10 days ago. But the best part of guys season seems to be over.
Right, fatigue can't be a factor... the top 1-2-3 at worlds finished 4-6-7 respectively because they didn't really want to win, not because they were fatigued, right?

That's actually a pretty good idea.
Similarly, outside of those who run for specific clubs (in other words, those who "just run for Nike/adidas"), how about make variations of the same pro kit, but in national colors? Shouldn't be too hard. That way all runners can represent both their country and their sponsor, and fans can have (a little) help identifying who they are rooting for in the middle of a big pack.
What happened to Rudisha and Balla after 600m?
I am so confused. What happened there.
WTF just happened in the 800?
This meet is turning out to be such a clunker. Bad idea to have it 4 days after the worlds.
Is everyone just still tired from WC? Or doesn't care now that WC is over?
I guess no one got DQed...
lol isn't it obvious??
These guys are off the sauce
I wouldn't be surprised if Van Niekirk never wins another major race
like makhloufi
Merritt grabbed the individual 400m win (44.18) but James got the overall DL title by finishing in 2nd place (44.28). WC van Niekerk 3rd in 44.35
Basically no-one gives a crap about this event - athletes or spectators.
Quite right. A sold out stadium full of people not giving a crap.

Obviously they're not tired from a race that was 10 DAYS AGO. Their season peak has passed and they can't perform up to their best anymore. They could rest another 10 days and they probably wouldn't perform any better.
Why are women 800m runners so bad at pace judgement, time after time. 56 first laps, 63 second lap. Womens 800m times have been stagment for so long.
Wow, another shitty performance from Martinez. She really is off-form this year.
