I agree that Dibaba's performance is a very large outlier (especially wr) . But I have seen claims here that Dafne Schippers, Julius Yego, Ashton Eaton, the Kenyan 400m hurdler Bett, every 800m woman in the field, multiple men in the 800m field; it's just ridiculous. Everything you have seen is not unusual or unbelievable, or evidence of doping. Just don't watch athletics if you don't enjoy it.
I enjoy watching the dopers, and I reserve the right call them dopers.
I feel sorry for the guys with talent who quit the sport rather than take the drugs.
Sorry but it's the state of the sport, every great performance with be under suspicion. As previsously stated, the women's 1,500 is a prime example with the final 800 being run faster than the open 800 will probably be won in...that's a red flag. As were the Chinese women's times from years past or Flo Jo's 100 time. Some things don't add up...such as running these insane times and not even being tired at the end of a race. That's why I think Rupp ( who I am or was a fan of) is suspicious to me. He didn't even look winded after runing his 26:44. That and running that ridiculous 5x1 mile workout after setting an indoor WR.
Comparisons with LA is just wrong. Anyone who knew a small amount about cycling and human physiology knew what was going on with Lance and the peloton of the time. It was the general public that bought into his story and charity exploits. In athletics this would be the equivalent of there being no suspicion around Makhloufi in 2012.
However this does not mean that all athletes that perform well are of the Lance Amstrong ilk and sweeping comparison are killing the sport. Some athletes are genuine outliers in a global sport with access to training methods evolved over time to near optimal levels.
I am tired of the blatant doping on the track. Touche.
go away, doper
Well I am sick of cheats, sick of being deceived by athletes... Sick of all these positive doping tests,... Sick of these leaked reports over and over.
How can you really blame everyone? Should we all bury our heads in the sand like you?
It never ends... 10-15-20 years later we find out people we thought were clean actually weren't.
I think these posts reflect the state of our sport, people don't trust it anymore.
Every gold medal winner in the men's 100m until Bolt has been busted
T&F (Athletics) is moving closer all the time to the fraudulence of WWE. And BTW, have you noticed the scant crowd in the stadium most days? Sad.

The first step is to get off the drugs, and hopefully it's not too late for you.

I am waiting for the 'was Roger Bannister's sub 4 min run drug induced'. With all that athletes have now to run fast, are these performances really beyond non induced physiology?
Of course he was doping. It is literally impossible for a human not on drugs to run under 4:00 without their eyes popping out and their lungs bursting into flames.

The threads about this years' world championships are frankly disgusting. Post after post about how everyone is doping at the world champs; simply because they have improved.
....
It wasn't always this bad, but now this forum is a poison and hates the sport that the Johnsons claim to love.
That was quite a well thought out post for this board. As posts to this board go, it was quite an outlier and makes me think you were doped while writing it! :-)
Sure there's other places online without a constant stream of doping accusations on the board and "news" page, but just pick up a pitchfork and start making speculative doping accusations about everyone. You'll feel much better about yourself!
This makes me think you don't understand what happened with Lance Armstrong. It's like you've "been had", and promised yourself never to "be had" again."fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

it's the Lance A syndrome all over again: "They're simply super athletes, gifted beyond what us mere mortals can imagine attaining, and they're not using drugs." All of you who think that are in denial and deluded. You've been had, my friends, by the entire corrupt and phony drug-saturated sport of what used to be athletics.
yeah,im tired of it too,but i suppose when the athletes stop doing drugs, and everyone slows down, then people on here will stop complaining.

Tired of the RAMPANT doping claims on this forum.
So, you're saying that people just shouldn't talk about what is going on?
Or are you saying that T&F is the lone sport where nobody dopes even though it is the one where doping is most beneficial?
The biggest doper just broke the only world record of the men's competition. Where's the outrage? Second biggest won the women's 200m. 3rd biggest won double gold in 5k and 10k. Where is the outrage?
You have choices. You can't hate and resist the reality and not come to LR. You can hate and resist the reality and come to LR and publicly complain with your own thread with a doping theme (currently your choice). You can hate and resist the reality and participate in discussion in the doper threads other than yours. You can accept it as a reality and not come to LR.. You can accept it as a reality and come to LR and not read these threads that are usually titled clearly about the contents. It's up to you. You're responsible for your own emotions, feelings and thoughts. You create your own Letsrun experience.

?? They sanction nobodies in low-single-digits.
International podiums are mostly doped and the IAAF knows it down to the individual.
Direct your anger at the IOC and IAAF. They are the ones permitting doping.
Correct pop_pop!. The real corruption is at the top. The athletes are just doing what they need to do to make a living. Take the part about how Reedle at WADA doesn't want his doping Russian friend to worry too much. Until the corruption at the top changes, clean athletes--at least in distance events--don't have a chance in hell.
You know that Salazar document at Duke that says you can't be in the top 5 in the world without doping that everyone here hates? Well, he was right.
The reason why there are rampant doping claims on this forum is because there is rampant doping in the sport and rampant corruption in the IAAF and WADA covering it up. And until you cut off the two headed monster at the top, nothing is going to change except get worse.
"These championships are the main focus of a group of the hardest working, most focused and talented people in the world"
No, those can be found in the NFL and basketball. Perhaps soccer.
"They are the elite of the human race in terms of athletic performance and dedication. Of course we are seeing amazing things, and so we should do. That is the beauty of the sport and what attracts spectators."
Matching records that were set by dopers means doping. Sorry if you are delusional.
"The people that sit here on their computers and just shout 'doper' every time they see a good performance, make me sick. This forum is not a place to discuss athletics, marvel in great performances and criticise poor ones objectively. It is not a place to talk about your favourite athletes and performances or have cognitive discussion."
It sure isn't a place where people have to conform to your sad delusion that athletics isn't a notorious cesspit of doping.
" This is a forum for hate, jealousy and naysayers."
Ah yes, the good old accusation of jealousy. Trust me, no one is jealous of any doped to the gills distance running stars with their malnourished physiques and low compensation. Usain Bolt is the only one worthy of my jealousy. Sorry if you are loser.
