Newcomers to the meet:
Boise State-12.5 scholarships into distance and a solid young crew coming back + great coaching = NCAA bid out of the tough West.
Lamar-Steadily rising each season. Good coaching. Good foreigners along with just the right local kids make them a good bet to get out of weak South Central region.
AirForce-First team out last year? Ryan Cole will bring this crew to the show this time. Solid group of returners and a great place to train. One injury/sickness away from missing out. One of the last teams in.
Minnesota-Always good. Plasencia always has this team on the bubble. Good returners, good legacy, will be close but this team will sneak in this year.
NC State-Not going to miss the meet two years in a row! Rollie will rally this Raleigh crew on to the dance.
Regional breakdown:
West-6
Mountain-5 (but watch out for Colorado State and SUU!)
MidWest-4
SouthEast-4 (See if Eastern Kentucky reloads overseas...)
Great Lakes-3 (No Indiana?!?)
MidAtlantic-3
NE-2
South Central-2
South-2
Solid list
No Providence?
Just the men?
1) Stanford
2) Colorado
3) Syracuse
4) oregon
5) Oklahoma state
6) BYU
7) Villanova
8) Portland
9) Georgetown
10) Virginia
11) NAU
12) Michigan
13) Furman
14) New Mexico
15) Arkansas
If georgetown could get their middle distance guys running well in cross they could be a top 6 team. They had like 5 or 6 sub 4 guys this year
I have not researched this at all but it seems to me like Portland should always be in the top 10.
Also, if you're going to have Virginia at 11, Virginia Tech should be right there too. They have dominated recruiting in the state over the past 4 years and have churned out steady solid distance guys.

You forgot Wisconsin. You know the team that's finished in the top 15 every year for about the last 40 years.
How is Princeton looking this year? And what about some of the other top Ivy Schools like Dartmouth and Columbia- anyone have a shot to get in?

Yes to all besides Columbia
Ohio State
Watch out for New Mexico women. Heard they got some huge transfer students and big-time international runners
Cornell looks stacked.

SUCKS IN DISTANCE GOING FORWARD
When was the last time it wasn't a combination of Georgetown, Villanova, Penn State, or Princeton out of the Mid-Atlantic? Can't SOMEONE get it together with five studs and shake things up? It's boring seeing the same schools dominate.

Navy should actually be really good this year

Sure hope so, been since 1997 since they qualified...coming up on 20 years.
Arizona State is a sleeper team out of the west region. Almost upset UW last year at the regional meet. Veteran team with no guys graduated.
