So I strained my right calf about a month ago. Took it really easy on the recovery - two weeks off with lots of calf rolling (with the stick), slowly started back up - ~15 miles walk/job week three, about 30 miles week four (last week). I ran 6.5 miles on Monday, and the right calf was a bit tight. So, I took a day off, rolled it out real well, and ran/walked 3.3 miles last night. Everything felt fine. I went to roll both calves out last night, and noticed that there was a slight knot in my left calf. I rolled it out last night and again this morning, and boom - left calf totally tightened up, pain when walking, just like when I strained the right calf. I definitely did not strain it with any sort of exertion, have never strained the left calf before, and have absolutely no idea how this happened. Any ideas? I am about to pull my hair out if I have to take another two weeks off.
