Let me explain the discrepancy in my 8k and 10k times. My 8k PR is not insanely better than my next 2-3 times, all of which were on fairly flat courses in great conditions. I only ran five 10ks during college xc and 2 of them were in the snow and 2 of them were in 20+ mph wind. The other one I just sucked. Last summer I ran a 32:30ish - I can't remember exactly off of only 10 miles/week of training for the 2 months leading up to it, so I imagine my 10k PR should be better than it really is.
I know my 800 is my worst, no offense taken.
Anyways, I've been out of college for a year and just got back to running seriously after a few injuries. I've mainly focused on steeplechase during outdoor track and I enjoy it, but I'm trying to decide if I want to take a track season to just focus on flat races and see what I can really do there. I'm trying to decide going after the 5k or 1500 this track season. I'm leaning toward the 1500 since I'm not quite at the mileage I should be at to go after some fast 5k times, and then I can do some road 5k and 10ks this summer.
