I guess I'm also relatively old for letsrun, but I don't understand why you think it is funny that Galen played (or still plays) video games. I can understand you saying you have different interests, or saying you didn't grow up with video games being a part of the generation, so you might not understand it, but funny?
People choose to spend their time differently, some people read books, some watch TV, run, play video games, surf the web, etc, etc. It sounds like this was a way he would pass the time between training sessions, I'm sure it wasn't the only thing he did, so what is the big deal? What is the funny part about it? That a 25 yr old would choose to spend their time this way? He had (and still has) a job that pays well, he is very successful at his job, he is clearly doing a lot of things right.
I do find it weird that your second link is your favorite picture of Rupp. It seems strange to me that a grown man would have this sort of dislike for a person they don't know (making an assumption that you don't know him). It is strange to me when others find enjoyment in a persons failures rather than their accomplishments. Almost seems like you are jealous (starting this post, having that second pic), what is it about Rupp?
