She has come back from two years of injuries to win nationals in a dominating fashion. She has cross trained through injuries and had worked herself back into top form. As a runner who is constantly injured this really means something to me. After watching a pre-race interview of her, I knew that she was going to win. She just seemed so nice, quiet, and calm. Maybe even a but nervous. She seemed to be hiding an incredible amount of ability, and it certainly showed. I didn't even care who won the boys race. I wanted her to win the girls race because she deserved it.
Just imagine how fast she would be if she hadn't gotten injured at all. She could have been the next sensation. In a way, I think she is a female version of Ritz. She is an aerobic powerhouse who is constantly injured and pushes herself to the limit in races. Her form is awkward, so I am not surprised that she gets injured, and I expect that she will be injured many more times. Being such a talent, it may be a good idea for her to switch sports so that she can make use of her talent without injury. Anyways, a great race, a great performance, and a great comeback by her.
