People like Vern Gibson and Just curious are typical of infantile Letsrun posters who have little knowledge about the subject matter. To put on an athletic event like the NCAA cross country meet takes an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, work that no one ever sea's. The folks at Indiana State had a dream and they have worked tirelessly to make their dream better. I have respect for anyone who works hard for cross country or track. I was involved in both Terre Haute and Louisville meets - there is no comparison. And even with time Louisville will not be able to match what ISU is doing given they do not have the administrative caring. They do not have the coaching staff dedicated to making something special. They do not have the infrastructure necessary to pull off a great meet. Certainly, when the NCAA Championships was at Louisville someone will end up winning, we will have race results, and people will walk away with the meet being done. But its not the same.
ISU is world-class when it comes to hosting NCAA cross country and we should be respectful of that.
