Hey guys, trying to gain some mass, so I joined a CrossFit gym (box or whatever it's called). They had us do overhead squats like you can see in the pic:

Question: what is the purpose of overhead squats? The coach kinda mumbled about stability added and blah but in the end I can squat less weight and I feel I'd get a better workout by separating into squat and then have some additional stability exercises...
