Is 35, 36 the age you should give up on running a fast time or winning a major Marathon and just focus on being a model for your sponsor? Deena was 33 when she won London.

Between Kara running at such a high level for so long and multiple recent injuries, I tend to think the odds of her making the Olympic team as very low. Then again, think of Meb. Same age (?) as Kara is now when he made the Olympic team. I wouldn't count her out just yet. If she can stay healthy for the next year and a half, she has a good shot of making the third spot on the team.
Kara has an outside shot of making the olympic team. She has very little chance of running fast times again.
Besides a bronze in 2007 in a weak WC field, she has done nothing note worthy. Shes cute though and looks good in bunhuggers and is a "mommy" runner so I guess thats why shes popular
seriously...?
3, 5, 6th at Boston is pretty good.
3rd at New York ain't bad
9th at World Championships ain't bad either
and being a two time Olympian means she sucks.
Don't forget U.S. marathon debut best, and the fastest American time in NYC by over a minute.

Given her Philly half I put her at 2:28- 2:29 in NYC.
When Kastor was Goucher's age she was a 2:28 - 2:29 marathoner. I expect the same for Goucher.
