Yeah. Lots of MIGHTS and MAYBES with curcumin.
I went ahead and bought the supplement anyway. It was $25 for 60 capsules...I kind feel like an sucker now, oh well.
many of the risk factors for alzheimer disease are the same as cardiovascular disease. so run and eat well and you'll save some cash on this stuff.

The main proposed benefit of curcumin is the reduction of inflammation and arthritis. And thus, theoretically, it would help with my running as I get older.

Not practical. You would have to eat a shit ton of turmeric to get enough curcumin to make a clinical difference.

There are already countless things that reduce inflammation, which if you do excessively will slow your recovery from workouts or wounds.
My doctor likes it as an anti-inflammatory and for its neuroprotective benefits. However, he asserts that pepper in curried foods gets it into the blood and the oils get it into the brain. The pills are a waste of money. So eat more very spicy curried or Indian food or cook with it yourself.
