sounds okay as long as a percentage is at half marathon race pace or faster.
Depends on age and injury threshold. If that's all you can take on a sustained basis without injuries, then you can certainly run well off that with the right mix of workouts. In general, I like a little more but at 49 I run into that injury barrier pretty quickly.
Worked for me. I did 4-5 miles M,T,Th,F with speed/tempo on Wednesday's (6-8 miles including W/U and C/D) and then 12-16 miles on Saturday and took sundays off from running.
