So the 1500m race is on august 9 and I was wondering if I could run a 4:15.
I think this workout should be the best predictor:
10x400m resting a little less than 60s (more like 55s) and my average was 69.2.
(last one 67.5, the slowest 69.7)
i've also run these recently:
5x800m jogging 200m between, avg. 2.28 (slowest 2.29, fastest 2.26)
2x1600m jogging 200m between (5.03 - 5.01)
I will probably run the 5,000 at the same meeting as well, and even worse than the 1,500, i really don't know what to expect. i've also run recently a longer workout of 12 km around 45:00 and a 18 km around 70 minutes.
This will be my first competition in 5 years (i started running again one year ago). I run about 40 mpw.
i will run the 1500 on august 9 and the 5000 on august 10. I appreciate if you help me to predict what my times could be and also setting a good strategy for these. Thanks!
