Your accusation is not clear. Say what you want to say.
1. Nothing wrong with Jäger or Huling
2. German is coming back
3. Nothing wrong with Derrick
4. Jury is out on Chris til he runs a marathon
5. Nothing wrong with Bumbi
6. Jerry told Webb to do triathlon and he's done pretty well at it so far
7. Nothing wrong with Teg
8. Nothing wrong with Shalane
9. Nothing wrong with Ryan Hill
10. Nothing wrong with Lopez Lomong
If you wanna talk about Jerry's "failures," talk about Tim Nelson, Simon Bairu, etc
Germans been running terribly, Derrick hasn't run particularly well, Chris is running random events on the track he doesn't need to be running, Bumbi hasn't sniffed a PR in years, Teg has been done for a while now, Shalane can beat a bunch of nobodies, Ryan Hill hasn't been running well all season and same with Lopez.
1, 3, and 8 are fair enough. The rest? Wow that some rose colored glasses you are wearing.
Jager and Huling both just bombed as well.

PRd in the 3K indoors and came within 1 second of his 5K PR outdoor (a PR he set last year btw). Nothing's wrong with him.
What ever happened to Emily Enfeld and Elliot Heath?? And yeah other than that 3k indoors Hill has been running very poorly. Id say Jager and Hulling just had a bad race

I think Hill finished 4th at USAs, which I think is a pretty good result, but other than that he has been pretty bad compared to indoors and last year.

I feel like I'm somewhat in between this poster and the haters, so here are my thoughts for what it's worth...
1. Agreed. They had one bad race but have clearly been the best steeplers all year. Kudos Jerry.
2. Ehhh I liked his 3:38, honestly, but the DNF and a sub par 5000m was disappointing. Hard to put injury problems for German on Jerry, though. The kid would have problems staying healthy under anyone.
3. Agreed - Derrick is running fine.
4. Yeah, Solinsky was run into the ground in 2010 and won't be the same again. His tune-up races have been alright and point towards a chance at a decent marathon debut but I would bet against it.
5. Bumbi has had a pretty good season. Not great. Wasn't he the top American in that recent 5000m, beating Lagat?
6. Like German, Jerry got a toy that was already broken with Alan. Glad to see him doing well in the tri, which was the right move to keep him motivated.
7. Seriously where the hell is Teg?! He hasn't raced since that 20k or 25k or whatever. If he got a little banged up and isn't quite sharp he should still hop in a race or two to keep racing mentality sharp. What is he even training for???
8. Shalane is fine. Her last big race was the best marathon anyone has had under Jerry, frankly.
9. Mixed bag with Ryan. Huge, HUGE indoor campaign. I'm not going to write him off just because he's had one crappy outdoor season. At least he hasn't had any career-threatening injuries in the process (that I know of). He's still young and I'm anxious to see how he bounces back in a championship year next year.
10. Lopez might be the most disappointing. What the f*ck is wrong?! Dude should be 7:30 and sub 13.
Nelson and Bairu definitely disappointing. Heath just isn't that good.
Mixed bag. Seems to have someone on about every point in the great-horrible spectrum.

OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!
A distance runner HAD A BAD RACE!!!!!!!
So, let's all call the coach a complete failure.
For fvcks sake! You people are fvcking idiots. Jager is known for going after it hard in races, and guess what. Sometimes he blows up. Oh well, that's life. He did it in Manoco, too.
And think about this: A few years ago, the best steeplers in the US were running 8:25 and were all proud. Now, you idiots are complaining about how "BAD" a complete blow-up 8:15 is and how that coach sucks.
Again, I cannot stress this enough, you people are fvcking idiots.
Jager was talking about breaking his AR and possibly going under 8 minutes so yeah I'd say 8:15 is a bad mark for him. I didn't say Jerry is a failure as a coach. If anything he has done a great job with Evan and some of his other athletes. However a lot of his athletes always seem injured.
