OK, not everyone on this board runs over 100 miles per week. Everytime a question about mileage pops up, it seems everyone spouts off saying they do 100 or more. I'm calling b.s. Not that many run so many miles, they just don't. I'm sure there are some who put in that kind of mileage, but the vast majority either don't keep accurate accounts of how much they are running, judge their pace too fast or are just flat out lying. Most D-1 runners I know of run probably 80 miles or so. The best runner I know did get up to 100 miles per week, but that was for a short period and then he went down to 80 or so miles during the season. He is also a low 24 8K runner. B.S., I call B.S. and if all of you are running over 100 per week, then you must be running your miles slow as hell because it seems that kind of mileage is not showing in the race results.
