Hello,
Long story short, I joined Cross Country senior year of High School and ran consistent 17:20's. I ran about 200 miles in the summer leading up to that.
I am now 26 years old, and I would like to obtain the goal I never reached and break 17 minutes for a 5k.
The past two weeks I have got back into the swing of things:
Week 1: 30 Miles
Week 2: 30 Miles
I am now on week 3:
Week 3: 40 miles, 1 long run ~10 miles, 1 tempo run of 5 miles, 1 rest day, the rest 7~8 miles.
Week 4: 45 Miles (same as above, tempo, long run, etc)
Week 5: 50 Miles (same as above, tempo, long run, etc)
Week 6: 55 Miles (same as above, tempo, long run, etc)
Week 7: 60 Miles (same as above, tempo, long run, etc)
Week 8: Now what? Do I drop my miles down to 50 and start doing speed work on a Track?
Week: 9 ?
Week: 10?
Week: 11 & 12 Go for it?
