I was a 1500m guy primarily, 3:50, and trained hard but definitely not like a pro. 5k PR was only high 14 but never ran a fresh one.
So, in a hypothetical perfect training situation with all the support I can dream of, I would have been promptly moved to the 5k. My speed is decent but would limit improvement in the 1500 quite a bit. Training volume would increase significantly from the 60-80 in college. After several years I would say very low 14s for sure and possibly under. I could probably take a few seconds off my 1500 as well just from the extra strength.
In reality the NOP is not my style of group. I don't think I would be happy there and therefore wouldn't get a whole lot better.
