ya moorcroft. his 13 flat is really a paced 12:50 or better.
but if moorcroft was sick the day of the WR, and he ran poorly, no one would have a clue what he was capable of.
if big M was not injured so much and did not have calf issues, he'd run easily 1245. but of course, there were no races with good pacing back in the day, not for a 12:45.
the list of the big guys ovett, coe, cram could have easily have included elliot and moorcroft.
