I always get carried away in 5 mile races. Going out at sub 25 pace which is way too fast for me. My 5k pr set a couple of days ago is 15.45 and I have a 10k best of 33.10 which was set last year( I have not run a 10k this year)my pr for 5k last year was 16.03. I always find a 5 mile difficult to pace.
What should my strategy be in a 4 or 5 mile race be and how should I pace it for optimum performance.
